Every time I try to even put a fuse in it burns it out. Wont even let me finish putting in. I think it’s a short to grown, but where? I am not sure. What do you guys think?

Hello,

There are 8 fuses that run the door lock system. Can you tell me which fuse number it is? Here are the door lock wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works and which fuses are used. Check out the diagrams (below). Please get back to us.

Okay, that is for the power to the BCM and the rear doors. Can you unplug the rear door lock actuators and replace the fuse to see if it still blows? Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

Yes, I found the problem. The rear door actuator. Thank you very much. Now would a 2013 Nissan actuator fit my 2014 Altima?

As above, all other electric body things working, windshield wipers, mirrors, dome lights, blower okay. Has brand new (two weeks ago) alternator and battery. All fuses checked, all okay, none burned out. I do not have tremendous skills with repairs, but mechanic (who put in new battery and alternator) said: "it' is either circuit, bad wires, relay switch, or body control module". UGH. Where do I start first?

Check fusible link under hood as that maybe blown. Because battery was replaced if you have an owners manual check to see if there is a reset procedure for these there may be as I cannot find one in our manual.

My car has always honked once and flashed the hazard lights when I have locked it with the keyfob, and just flashed the hazard lights when I have unlocked it with the keyfob.

Now, when locking the car with the keyfob, it only flashes the hazard lights. When I unlock the car with the keyfob, only the front hazard lights flash.

Is this an easy fix? Or am I better off just learning to deal with not having the proper feature anymore?

Does the horn still work? Is it the horn that honks when you press the button on the steering wheel?

Ok. For some reason our reference material isn't letting me look at schematics today. I'm going to ask one of my colleagues here to take over for me.

You could have a bad anti-theft system controller, or bad wiring. I messaged my boss, asking him to help.

We just purchased an Altima sedan and the rear drivers side door lock wont open. The switch seems to activate since I can hear the ckick but the door wont open. This is the only door that this happens. Even if I manually move the lock lever it wont unlock.

Any ideas?

Thanks

IF you hear the actuator like you say, then, you need to pull the panal off and get a look. Linkage may be disconnected or in need to lubing and working it.

Hi guys, my 2001 nissan altima 94570, the power windows and power door locks are not working. The doors will lock from the inside if I use the switch on the passanger doors but not from the master driver side switch. As for the windows none of them are working at all and both the windows and the door locks stopped working at the same time. Can I get some adive on this.

P.S. The doors locks will work if I use the key switch

thanks much, ken

Check for power to the switch for the drivers door, then check for continuity in the switch.

Check fuses for the power windows.

specifics test procedures are available here:
