I have a 1990 Nissan 300ZX 2+2 automatic 3.0. It has 90,000 miles. When I bought the car it was running and working. 5 Hrs later the engine almost through a rod. I replaced the engine with a used one and found out my problem to be the wiring harness. The shop replaced it with a 92 Nissan 300ZX wiring harness. Now im fising it myself. My problem is 2 cylinders werent firing, replacing both coil packs, changing all spark plugs, the 5th cylinder isnt firing. It has compression, has spark outside the cylinder not sure inside, if so I guess it would fire, and has fuel to the cylinder. Im thinking the cylinder is flooded because the fuel injector is bad and needs replaced. Also there is a small fuel smoke coming from below the top of the engine and the right exhaust is smoking raw fuel worse than the left side (Note the right side is the cylinder that wont fire). Im having problems trying to figure out what needs replaced or what the problem could be. Any help? Can be reached at 813-850-2929, or emailed at Sk8erpunk6769@hotmail. Com
