i have just recently had a new engine fitted in my car which is a diesel Mitsubishi l200. Since getting this fitted firstly my car started leaking water, the mechanic told me this was because I had just washed my car. Shortly after this the temperature Gage was dangerously high, so I pulled over and let the car cool down and took it back to the garage then he said this was because the hose was leaking, got the hose fixed but temperature Gage was still going dangerously high, so he took out the thermostat, but the car was still over heating, finally he told me the head gasket had gone, which I'm now having to get fixed.
Is there any test that should of been done once getting new engine fitted?
is this the mechanics fault for not digonsing sooner?
the pipe was fine until they fitted the new engine.
have the same problem?
