Hi, my car is becoming increasingly difficult to start in the mornings. First problem it was slow to start, putting out smoke and lumpy for few minutes then ran perfect all day, this was sorted with a dose Miller fuel additive. Next it started to take five to six attempts to turnover, changed glow plugs two were dead this improved things for around a week but since then it has become increasingly difficult to start. When parked overnight in underground car park it will start after a couple of attempts however if parked outside particulary on a wet night it can take ten minutes to get it started usually after turning over two or three times and dying. When it does start the engine will give a loud rattling noise, after take off the noise will die down and car will run 100% all day. Any ideas? Thanks

Hello,

It sounds like you are having problems with the coolant temperature sensor, can you plug the car into a scanner to see if there are any codes? Here is a guide to help.
