Brakes problem
1999 Mitsubishi Shogun V8 Four Wheel Drive Manual

I have a Shogun 2800 turbo intercooler (not sure about the V8 bit mentioned above). The breaks on it have been rubbish for ages but I presumed they were just worn out (hand break light staying on). Recently my wife was reversing the car and heard a noise like a cable snapping or something. Since then the break pedal goes straight to the floor without any resistance. There is break fluid (not huge amounts) so I was wondering what it could be. Have you guys got any idea. I'm not using obviously coz the only breaking is with the engine or the hand break. Cheers a million.
