Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
2003 Mitsubishi Outlander 4 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 135000 miles
My car is making a clunking noise when stepping on gas or brakes while driving; also when switching from reverse to drive. I was told it was the differential.
Trying to understand how serious the the problem might be and potential scope/cost of repair.
I wanted to try to make the car last another 2 years, but maybe this means it is time to trade it in.
FYI, I had to have the CV joint/front passenger side axle replaced within the last year. Don't know if this is in any way related.
