Computer problem
2002 Mitsubishi Galant 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 147000 miles

I was told that the ECU in my car was bad because it had a couple of codes that we had made positive fixes on and they kept coming back. I purchased a new ECU and replaced it. Now the car will not start. I am getting a code P1610. I clear it and the car still does not start. I checked the connections to the theft computer and everything else. I put the old ECU back on the car and it starts right up. Is there anything that I am not catching?
