2004 Mini Cooper S Front Wheel Drive
I recently had the oil changed on my mini s. The technician damaged the ring on the filter and it caused a major oil leak. In fact when I got to my destination I had very little oil left and I was not able to start the engine. Had the car towed to the nearest dealership 80 miles away where they diagnosed the problem. After adding oil they were able to start the engine again, but found metal pieces in the oil. Apparently no damage was done to the motor that they could see. Could this possible cause problems in the future and perhaps shorten the life of the motor?
