1992 Mercury Tracer

I have a 92 Mercury Tracer, and recently have replaced the Thermostat Housing, and Radiator, but its running pretty hot. I have no leaks anywhere, when im on the freeway I can't go over 65 without it running really hot. When Im doing 35-40, it runs normal. What do you think the problem is.

My check coolant light has always been on, same thing with the check engine light, my RPM gauge is stuck on 3, always, could it be a fuse that is making my gauges read wrong?

Also, how can I check my water pump to see if its going bad.
