I have a 2000 Mercury Sable that pulls hard to the right, at any speed. Worse, when you hit a bump or dips in the road the car shimmies left and right (one revolution) as if you were rolling around on the top of a ball. I took it to the local repair shop hoping that all it needed was an alignment. The estimate I received said it needed new brakes and rotors (most importantly), new struts, new bearings, and the left front sway bar was broken. They couldn't explain what exactly was causing the "shimmy". I will replace the pads and rotors but I'm wondering what is the next most important step to hopefully get this thing running a little more straight?
have the same problem?
