I have a Mercury Montego with a strange problem. Sometimes, not always, the drivers window malfunctions. If it is open a few inches and I want to close it, I pull up on the switch and it promptly goes down. I can then pull up again on the switch and it closes properly. The dealer has been notified (on several occasions). As the problem is intermitant, I believe they were sceptical at first. They have now seen the problem and have, they said, replaced the switch – twice. The problem still exists. If it was always backward, it wouldn't be so perplexing.

The worst incident was when the window was open slightly on a rainy day. A semi was coming toward me, I attempted to close the window. Of course, it opened fully and I was drenched!

Any ideas?

Do you
have the same problem?
