Over the last couple of days my moutaineer has reluctuntly shifted gears and today, payday, after a cashed my check as I was leaving it stopped right in the middle of the street I restarted it 3 times and it just stalled there finally I put it in reverse and pulled over to the curb looked throug the owners manual about 20 minutes later I started it up again it worked fine again but 5 minuets later at a traffic light when I tried to hit the accelorator it stalled and went to about 5000 rpms and finally shifted and went up to 30mph luckly I was close and happend to make it home PLEASE HELP!
If the check engine light is comming on, have the codes read, sounds like a shift solinoid, tcc lock up.

Have the suv scanned anyway, check for any " freeze frame data" Could be a bad tranny as well. There is a tech bulliten for low line pressure, could be your problem.
