I was smelling oil from my car and stopped to put a container of "stop oil leak" into my car.

I think I made a big mistake. I put it in my car via the gas tank. I think I should have put it in my oil compartment.

At the same time as putting this in my car I put a container of carberator cleaner in also through gas tank.

Will the stop oil leak stuff ruin my car if I put it in the wrong compartment???

Hello,

Is the Gas Tank Full? If so you may only notice some smoking and it may run a little rough. The full tank should thin the Oil Stop Leak enough not to cause clogging of the fuel sock, filter or the injectors.

You are awesome to have replied so quickly. It gives me comfort to know that I don't need a new engine or transmission!
