2004 Mercedes Benz 320e 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 85,000 miles
I was recently told by my service guy that sum of the clunk uder the front end of my car was coming from my trasverse case and my cv boots. Cars of my year and earlier do not have any scheduled maintanence to this case. Newer models do have a 40K service interval. Thaey want to change out the fluids for about $190 ($100/hr labor plus fluid and maybe some seals). They just replaced the inner and outer right cv boots because they were cracked. Do I really need to swap aout the fluid in the TC or can I wait for some other indicators? I feeling a $ pinch but dont want to neglect my car and pay for it down the road.
have the same problem?
