Mazda IAT sensor MOD chip

I got a 2005 mazda 3 2.3 liter and I purchased a mod chip that will increased my vehicle horse power to +22.
my question is, I am aware that it works together with the computer for fuel mixture. But it tells me to installe it with the Oxigen sensor/ IAT sensor.
i tested the unit and inspected and it seems like its a resistor and I put my multimeter in 200 ohm and it reads 00.0.
Can you tell if it safe to do this, I am still debating wether or not I should do this.
Because I really dont know what exactly is going to make my computer think, also is it going to increased my fuel mixture to richer and bring my rpm higher, or should I just throw this cheap mod and get a ECU instead.
Well I hope to hear from you and I appreciate your expertise in this issue.

Do you
have the same problem?
