Engine Performance problem
1998 Mazda b4000 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 104000 miles

The truck was running a little rough & I found a burnt plug wire, changed that & still ran rough. No check engine light on but had it hooked up any way & found no codes. Changed the crank pos. Sensor, cam pos. Sensor spark plugs and had the coil tested and it was fine but it still runs rough. Somewhere between all that the valves started making all kinds of noise that reminds me of an older distributer run engine that is miss timed. Now its my understanding that the ignition control mod. Was incorporated into the pcm from yrs. 95 to 98 so it cant be tested (I guess?). I'm lead to believe itS a PCM failure because once in awhile it comes out of it and runs great for 10 mins. Mazda is not making the PCM right now for some strange reason, probly found problems. Have I checked it all?
