Engine Performance problem
2008 Mazda 3 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 3800 miles
I recently had my first oil change on my new car. I took it to a local 20 min oil change shop. Upon leaving, I could tell upon pulling away from the first intersection that my car was not right. It previously had exceptionally quick pick up that you could hear as well as feel in it's responsiveness. My car didn't sound or feel like it had the same pick up as before. It appeared to drag in much the same way that my old 10 year old car used to. Any thoughts on this? I swear it is not in my imagination. It sounds and feels different. The technician had initially expressed question as to whether he had my type of oil filter and spent quite a bit of time consulting manuals prior to agreeing that he did have the appropriate one for my car. He also had trouble with the oil shield and stated he had spilled some into it accidentally. He attempted to clean it up but reported that it may leak some oil out over the next few hours but be fine after that. Any feedback would be appreciated.
