My 1997 Town Car, 4.6L, 144,000mi does not want to start mainly after sitting for a while particularly overnight. It cranks just fine. Sometimes it starts after continuous cranking for 10+ seconds. Though recently I've discovered that if I turn ignition on & off 4 or 5 times repeatedly, the car will always start immediately. After starting, the car runs smoothly without any problems the rest of the day. I've switched the fuel pump/ac relays but still same problem. I'm hoping is something less costly than the fuel pump. What do you think? Thank you.
have the same problem?
