Air Conditioning problem
2002 Lincoln LS V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 72256 miles

The HVAC system when started in the AUTO position has a mind of its own. In the winter, it will not put out hot air until the temp setting is up to 80 degrees. Then you can slowly adjust it down. The fan speed will not change in the auto position. Summer, it will not put out cool air until the temp is set below 65 degrees. It will blow hot on one side and cold on the other regardless of the temp setting. If started manually the temps setting have to be the same as above, then they can be adjusted to the desired temp slowly. In the air conditioning mode, the fan speed will decrease as the temp becomes close to the desired setting. I have run the self diagonistic test and everything shows normal. I have had the car checked by the dealers computer, they tell me their is nothing wrong and it is working fine. This unit worked perfect for 7 years and started doing this apporximately six months ago.I know that it is not working like it is suppose too.

Thanks for any help.

Do you
