Continual battery failure

We purchased a used lincoln continental in july or august of last year. It is a 1997 Lincoln Continental.8cylinder 5.0L , with present milage of 117,000. Since that time time, approximately 3 new batteries have been replaced in the car. We thought perhaps the alternator was draining the battery, or a short in the wiring to the alternator, but the garage found no shorts within the car. However, we have not checked the alternator. At times the alarm goes off by itsself. And occasionally the warning for low tire pressure will continue to go off, although the tire is okay. Is this malfunction, the alternator, or the electrical system. The battery generally goes completely dead. Unable to jump. And this primarily occurs after a cold rain or freezing rain.

Thank you for your time and patience in answering.
