I have a 1993 GS300 with 208k miles. Recently replaced the water pump and t-belt, new tune up, seals etc. Car is now running hot unless at 2800 rpm or higher. Also a strong smell of anti-freeze, sound of running water both at ignition and at idle / excelleration. Last night cabin heat failed. Could this be both the thermostat and core? Please help! I love this car and still has a strong motor and looks great but it is beginning to become costly and I really cant afford any major repair. Also, I have recently moved from the warm climate of Florida to the much colder climate of North Carolina. Could that have any effect on the car?
