Engine Performance problem
2010 Lexus ES 350 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 100 miles
I'm interested in buying a 2010 Lexus ES350 which according to the manufacturer uses premium 91 octane gasoline. I know that some salesman will tell you anything to make a sale but several have told me that regular 87 octane can also be used. Is this true?
I've also looked at the Hyundai Genesis sedan and the manufacturer states that premium or regular gasoline can be used. What's different about their engines that they can use both either premium or regular gasoline? I do know that if both grades of gasoline can be used, gas mileage as well as horsepower will be affected. Thank you all for your responses.
