Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
2000 Land Rover Freelander 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 80000 miles

hi, my landrover freelander has broken down in the middle of God's nowhere! I'm pretty sure it is the propshaft, but I 'm sure the transmission and front drive shafts are o.K. If I cut through/rip off the propshaft will I be able to drive it home(120 miles) front wheel drive. Does it have a limited slip diff. Will all the power just go to the spinning broken off prop. Is the front / rear wheel drive have a permenant 50/50 power split. Even so, would breaking off the prop shaft cause catasrophic loss of lubricant/transmission oil? The engine is mounted front wheel drive style with the long propshaft. Thankyou
