If the pressures are equal on both sides the compressor has an internal leak and high pressure is bleeding into the low side.

If the compressor is new, you may have a blocked TX (thermal expansion valve) did you replace the receiver dryer and was the comp changed due to an internal failure that may have deposited any debris in the system?

Air Conditioning problem 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 106000 miles

The A/C on my car is only blowing hot air. I have fully recharged the system with refrigerant, all fuses inside the vehicle and engine compartment have been checked-What have I missed? No repair manual is available for my vehicle. Please help me out? If it is a high pressure switch, where is it located and how do I change it?

Hello,

I don't think it is a pressure switch issue, it sounds more like a temperature blend door actuator has gone bad.

Here is a guide that will show you what you are in for when changing the actuator out.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/replace-blend-door-motor

Here is the way to gain access (below)

If it is a manual system see if the cable has fallen off.

This guide should help as well

Please let us know what you find.

Cheers, Ken

We have taken our Sportage to a local mechanic because the a/c doesn't work. They said it was the control head and $500 later still no ac. Then they said it was the body control module. We took it to the dealership and paid for a diagnostics. They said it is the duct sensor. The part is $25 but they want to charge $900 in labor. My husband would like to try and replace it himself. Do you have a set of instructions?

There is no listing for this sensor. The name is most likely the issue. We need more info on the exact name of the sensor.

Did you ask why so much labor? Most likely the dash has to be removed to gain access and that is why the labor is high.

Yes, they said it's because the dash would need to be removed. The dealership called it a duct sensor but I've also seen in online as a evap sensor.
