2001 Kia Spectra 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 40000 miles
Thanks for reading in advance!
We added a new battery to the car last winter so I doubt it's a battery issue. I also think it's something else because of what's happening, it doesn't seem like it's a battery dying.
Here are the symptoms:
-It seems to get worse when it gets colder
-When you turn the key, it "whir"s real slowly, then usually starts getting a bit faster and faster until it starts.
-Sometimes it "whirs" and won't start (when this happens it emits a foul smell like rotten eggs), then if we let it sit for about 5-10 minutes it will start for us.
-It stalls out frequently (this has been going on for a while so I'm not sure if it's related)
It's a 2001 Kia Spectra. Not a great car I know. But it's been decent apart from this. Any ideas?
have the same problem?
