Check engine light

How do I reset the check engine light? Also, the air bag light is on how do I get it to go off? I just bought this car at an auction and I really don't know much about cars.

Take it to a mechanic and he can tell you what is wrong. The Zone will do it free. good luck

Actually autozone will NOT do it. I went there before. Auto Zone will tell you what is wrong with it, but they said, by law they are not aloud to reset the check engine light, but they will give you the code.

Its not a good idea to reset any type of code without finding out the cause. Those lights are there for a reaso: Especially the air bag light as this couold lead to a very dangerous situation! Get them both checked by a professional and repaired properly!
