1995 Jeep YJ 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 103000 miles
3 months ago, we had our '95 Wrangler serviced. The brakes were "adjusted" at that time, too. After the servicing, it sat, mostly idle, until last week. Now, after driving it for about 10 miles, a hot, metalic & rubbery odor is noticed. Also, as the Jeep goes up a hill and slows down, it becomes even slower, even to the point of almost stalling the engine unlless the clutch is depressed. Shutting off the engine and letting the vechicle cool for a few minutes is the only way to get the Jeep to move again. But, again after about 10 miles is traveled teh same set of symptoms occures. Also, right after driving home after the last drive, I backed the Jeep up a hill, placed it in neutral, made sure the emergency brake was not engaged and the brake peddle wasn't depressed. The Jeep didn't move one inch. Do I have brake issues or transmission issues? Yopur thoughts?
have the same problem?
