Have replaced coil, have voltage to positive on coil, have replaced pick up assembly, have fan working, will crank, will NOT start with crossover battery to coil = all told, NO FIRE to distributor.

Could this be a plug wire, bad grounding to coil, or ignition switch problem? Or something completely different?

This year Jeep does not have sensors.

Since my original post, I did check the wire from the center of the coil to the distributor and nothing new happened. There is voltage (12volts)(BUT 0 amps). Into the coil and zip coming out Where does the positive coil wire lead to. Wiring harness? Or straight to switch?

The dark green wire that went from the coil's negative to the electronic carriage unit was the answer - however, I do not know if it just reset and worked after pulled it out and reinserted it OR if it just needed cleaned up for a better connection.

Either way, I have fire!

That schematic was the best, as were you for offering it! Thank you!

What book did that schematic come from? I'd like to buy that one.

For my first use of this site, I'd say the help here was great and worthy of the requested donation!

Mitchell ondemand 5 is the site I get it from for all vehicles. I think you can get access to a certain vehicle for a small fee. I pay about $200 a month for my shop access.
