My question is about a 1999 Jeep Cherokee with 103,000 miles. There is a hissing sound - as if air is escaping - that starts and continues when I press the brake. I've looked behind the pedal; the rod on the back of the pedal goes into a foam-like area. The black cover for the foam is worn, and the hiss seem to come from there. Can you tell me what the problem is?
