I have a 98 jeep cherokee 4.0L manual and every time I go to work I have to go up a large hill on the highway, recently toward the top of the hill I am in forth gear and going about 50 mph and my car starts to shake uncontrolably and the check engine light starts flashing and I have to pull over and shut my car off and turn it back on and its fine. Whats wrong?

My brothers jeep done that and he started to upshift going up a hill now it's doing fine.
