I own a 1997 Jeep GCL 4.0 with 140, 00 miles. In extremely well maintained condition with service records. Recently, after new plugs, wires, cap and rotor the sensors and relays began to fail. First the IACV, TPS and the Autoshutdown relay. All were replaced with brand new parts. Two days ago the vehicle sputtered and stalled and has not started since. After bench testing the ASD relay it was found to be faulty and was replaced. Still no spark from coil which tested good. The check engine light does not come on in any key position and my code reader/scanner can not reteieve any codes. My thinking is now the Crank Position Sensor and I plan to replace it. But, have you seen the location of the CPS on the 4.0? Does anyone have any tips on how best  to replace it? I can probably get it out but the reinstall looks a nightmare.
