2000 Jaguar XJ8 Engine Knock. I think due to low oil.

I have an engine knock at a little over 2000 rpm. I ran the car with low oil. I didn't check the oil because the oil light did not show (Stupid of me)
Now I am trying to figure out how difficult is this to get fixed.
