2002 Jaguar X-Type 4 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 96,000 miles
I have been having braking issues, where when I applied the brakes it would sound like it is off and not fully ingaged. There seems to be an interference and the peddle does not go down all the way without some sound of grinding traction. I have to pump them and then I get a sound that seems to be coming from the front axel somewhere. I just got the ABS light on my dash. What could this be and what is the repair? Costs involved?
A common failure would be one of the wheel ABS sensors which the ABS system uses. Since the ABS warning light has appeared, there is a trouble code(s) set within the ABS system that will need to be retrieved by a diagnostic scan tool. This code(s) will pinpoint the issue so that it can be fixed appropriately.
