Reverse

I have a 1997 automatic isuzu rodeo with 82,000 miles. When I am in reverse only, it makes a loud screeching noise. I have read in another question asked that the transmission is a sealed unit, and should not require additional fluids. What else can it be?

Replace the speedometer. Buy a used cluster and pull the components apart. Replace the speedometer.
