95 Isuzu Rodeo

Hi I have a question about my 1995 v6 isuzu rodeo. If the timing belt brakes will it bend the valves. And how can I check it to see if it did or not. When it turns over it seems like there is compression and not just free wheeling around like the spark plugs were taing out. Any help would be appreciated

Thats easy. Do a compression test. The cyl. With bend valve will have a relative low compression value. In & out no sweat man. Later
