01 ISUZU RODEO 3.2L THERMOSTAT REPLACEMENT

My sons Rodeo w/3.2L, d.O.H.C. V-6 has what looks like the thermostat housing under the intake plenum. However, it's attatched to the lower radiator hose. Is this the correct location and what is the best way to replace the thermostat. Haynes manual isn't even close to resembling the housing.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks, hockeygman

Figured it out. Intake plenum HAS to come off. Lots of hoses to disconnect, unplug injectors and several sensors. Not a very hard job, but tedious. This is 1st year this engine was installed, plenum gaskets were a little hard to find and pricey. Next time should only take about 2 hours.
