1year ago fuel and oil was mixing they replaced the fuel pump. 8 months ago the timing chain had to be replaced and now the pistons and rings. I bought this new and was wondering should they have not replaced the block and should they have changed the oil. When I took it in for the sounds I was told the oil was almost gone.

First, a fuel pump won't cause fuel and oil to mix. If that is happening, chances are there is a problem with a stuck injector or fuel pressure regulator.

They want to replace pistons and rings or the already did? Have you contacted GM for assistance? The vehicle has very low mileage and the problem has been ongoing. They may be willing to help.
