The fuel pump relay is not located behind the radio. Would there be another random location that it would be in?

Good afternoon.

It is below the radio it is called the engine control relay on the 2.4 liter engine. Here is a guide to help test it with the relay locations in the diagrams below.

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 111, 00 miles

i have an 04 sonata 2.4 automatic. I am not getting fuel to the motor. No power to the fuel pump. I do have power at fuel pump fuse. I have looked for relay and was told it was under the radio, I did find one relay but I am unsure if it is it. How do I test it? I do know the fuel pump is good. By the loss of power to the pump I am assuming it would be a relay, am I correct.

It sounds like they have integrated the two relays. Go ahead and replace that one and you should be good.

Your vehicle's fuel pump relay is located in the center of the dash, on bracket under radio, under the engine control relay here is a diagram (below)

This guide will help you test it

Driving down highway the car died. Oil was quite low, added two quarts, still would not start.

Checked fuel pump and it wasn't running (just a click) so replaced it. New pump still will not run. I have 12v going to the pump.

Checked under hood fuses but can't find any relay for the fuel pump. I saw one guy taking about an ECM relay but I can't find it.

Now I see I don't have spark.

Did the low oil shut down the electrical system? If so WHERE? The book I have doesn't address this specifically.
HELP!

Good Morning,
I too have taken apart my dash to replace the fuel pump relay on a 2001 Sonata. While the 2 gold colored modules are there, there is no way I can see for the part can be installed in this location. None of the wiring connections there match this module. The part is the one all the auto parts places claim (and I have have the physical part in my hand having purchased one) fits my car. The dealership service dept said this year of Sonata is a "split year" which, according to them, means Hyundai reconfigured the design mid-year. The dealership also said the relay should be in a relay box on the driver-side engine compartment over the wheel well. It is not there. Someone please help. I am a homeless full-time graduate student and live in this car. If I do not get the thing running it will be impounded and I will lose the only home I have at the present time.

Sorry for all the confusion.

As I stated in the beginning, it is under the radio. If it is not, then post the entire VIN for me on the car.

I attached a picture for you to view. It is a single relay.
