Engine Performance problem
2001 Hyundai Santa Fe 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 120000 miles

I have been experiencing rough starts and issues with high/low idle for a couple of weeks, along with the check engine light recently coming on. Diagnostic check shows problems with oxygen sensor and throttle position sensor.

I don't have a problem locating the Bank 1 oxygen sensor 1, but the throttle position sensor is a new one. Can anyone assist in sharing where this is located, and how I replace it?

Thank you.

Hello
Thanks for the donation.

Your TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) is located on the right side of the throttle body of your 2.4L engine.

Removal and installation of the TPS is quiet simple.

REMOVAL:
Disconnect the TPS harness connector and remove the mounting screws. Remove TPS from throttle body.

INSTALLATION:
To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten the TPS mounting screw(s) to 13 - 22 Ft. Lbs. (1.5 - 2.5 Nm)

Hope this helps..
