The passenger back tire is making a loud squeal when I drive. When I apply the breaks, this squeal stops. I have not had any issues with my car until now. The brakes are not slipping, nor do they feel 'soft'.

Any idea what the issue is?

Thank you in advance, Mike Stelzer.

Mike, if you have rear disc brakes, that sounds like the brake sensor is telling you the pads need replaced. If they are drum brakes, you most likely need new shoes. If you check them and find I'm correct and need directions, let me know and I get them sent to you on how to replace the brakes. Please let me know if they are disc or drum brakes.
