I was trying to take out my oil drain plug and busted the head, the rest of it is still in there. I've tried a screw extractor but had no luck. Any suggestions as to what next?

INSURE THERE ARE NO FUEL LEAKS

HAVE A FRIEND AND A FIRE EXTINGUISHER HANDY!

*****DO THIS OUTSIDE, AWAY FROM YOUR DWELLING!*****

WE WANT TO BE ABLE TO LIVE IN OUR HOUSE, AND KEEP OUR CARS IN THE GARAGE LATER ON, SO BE SAFE!

I'M GUESSING WHEN YOU DRILLED IT FOR THE EXTRACTOR THE OIL DRAINED OUT?

IF THE OIL IS OUT OF IT ********(DON'T TRY THIS IF THE OIL IS STILL IN IT)

MAYBE USE A PROPANE TORCH (PLUMBING TORCH)

HEAT CIRCLES AROUND THE PLUG (1/2 INCH OUT OR SO) DO NOT HEAT THE PLUG!

IT'S A "FEEL KINDA THING" W/ EXPERIENCE, SO IT'S HARD TO EXPLAIN AND KNOW WHEN TO GIVE UP

LETS START OUT WITH 10 SLOW CIRCLES (30 SECONDS OR SO), THIS WILL EXPAND THE PAN METAL, HOPEFULLY LEAVING THE PLUG COOLER AND SOMEWHAT CONTRACTED

GIVE THE TORCH TO YOUR PAL AND QUICKLY INSTALL THE EXTRACTOR AND ATTEMPT TO TURN IT OUT.

NO LUCK

REMOVE THE EXTRACTOR AND COOL IT OFF (DON'T WANT IT TOO HOT, OR IT WILL BREAK)

TRY 20 CIRCLES, MAYBE 45 SECONDS-A MINUTE

PASS THE TORCH TO YOUR PAL, INSTALL EXTRACTOR IN FAST (WHILE IT'S STILL GOOD AND HOT) ATTEMPT TO TURN IT.

I WOULD NOT HEAT IT MUCH MORE THAN THAT

IF THIS FAILS, REMOVE THE PAN AND LET AN AUTOMOTIVE MACHINIST GET IT OUT.
