Clunking sound when shifting
I've noticed a mild clunking sound when I shift thru or into
reverse. I have an '89 lxi hatchback with 96,000miles
any ideas? Thanks.

Check motor mounts, check the CV joints just for kicks and when you do shift and hear the sound do you feel anything on the shifter?
