Brakes problem
2002 Honda CRV 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 140000 miles

Last February, I replaced rear brake pads. Somehow, the rear driver's side brake pad was totally worn out especially the outside pad. That's when I started to realized I smelt something burning and it was the brake pad. So I replaced the rotors and brake pads again and cleaned all the brake parts and lubricates and caliper slide. I still have the same problem of the noise from the brake and pad is burning which means the caliper doesn't release. Please tell me what the problem is. Thank you.

Hi hankipanki,

Apart from the slider sticking causing the brakes to wear on only one pad, the other possibility is a sticking caliper piston.
