Speedometer not working

You get that young stud to find it himself its at the lower right rear of the engine compartment on the tranny. You gonna see a connector-probably 3-wires on it. Take it out/ turn key On/ spin it -the speedo should fluctuate while spinning it if not its gone or its not engaging properly w/tranny. Eye ball it and find out what's happening inside.
