Hi,

I have honda CIvic 1999 model. Its engine turns off when car slows down or it halts at a traffic signal.

I have to restart the car, which happens in one shot without problem.

This engine turning off problem is getting worse daya by day.

It starts fine in the morning and runns properly on freeway or even on local roads but only at signals or when speed touches down to zero this problem occurs.

Does anyone have any idea. Some one told me Exhaust manifold or oxygen sensor is not good. Doesnt make sense to me.

Thanks
Sumeet

Hi there,

You best have the car checked for any E.C.U. Fault codes, you may have a faulty idle speed control motor, or a vacuum leak somewhere.
