Honda Accord
1988
208,000 miles
4 cyl. 2.0L FI

My car was getting really lousy mileage (about 20 mpg, usually 28 and up), stalled at idle, hard to start when the engine was warm, and had a foul smell of gasoline inside of the car. I found the injectors to be leaking, as I could see fuel residue around the injector ports on the manifold and around the ports on the fuel rail.

I replaced the injectors and the smell disappeared, but my mileage hasn't improved very much (around 23 now). It's still hard to start when the engine is warm and runs rough.

Did I miss something?

I would probably look at the plugs as they may be fowled from too much fuel. Check the air cleaner. Look at the EGR valve and PCV.
