Engine Mechanical problem
1990 Honda Accord Two Wheel Drive Manual
I was driving at 110kph and RPM went to 0 / Car died. I pulled over, tried to start, nothing. Outside the car there was a massive pool of coolant.
Mechanic says that water pump went and now that, and timing belt needs to be replaced ($800), but even then the engine may not work because of bent valves and thats another $2000.
Does this really fry my whole engine just because a water pump went? Is he taking advantage of me or am I not getting how this works?
have the same problem?
