2 days before the problem started I was driving, I noticed my odometer and engine rotation meter seemed to stop but the is was still running. Later on in the day, the engine quitted on me on the way home from work. I thought I ran out of gas, I went to get some gas then tried to start the engine again. It had a hard time to start but did after I cranked the engine for awhile. At least I made it home. I made a few more trips without problems. The next morning, the problem happened again. This time the engine just would not run. I cranked the ignition and the engine started and ran only if I kept holding the key between the start and run position. If I turn a little too much toward the run position, the starter would make noise, but if I released the key, the engine would quit. The engine still seems running well. It's just a weird problem that I needs help because I don't want to have it towed to the auto shop. MANY THANKS.
