When starting the car, and it is cold.I have to press in the clutch pedal. Regardless if it is in neutral or not. The car will at times try to start, and I have to almost pump the clutch while keeping the key turned just to get it to catch and start. What is wrong, and can it be bypassed so that I dont have to press the clutch in to start the car.

Absolutely not. You do not want that feature disabled. I know an idiot locally that did that and to make a long story short, he ended up with the car inside his house in the living room. It is dangerous.

There is a safety switch that is either out of adjustment or wearing out located on the clutch pedal. Find it, see if it is engaging properly or replace it.
