My 96 Accord DX keeps cranking even after I remove the key. I had to take off the battery terminals to shut the engine off. The engine starts, but after the key is released and returns to run position, you could still hear it cranking. I changed the ignition switch, but that was not the problem. Even with the ignition switch removed, if I connect the battery terminals the car starts cranking. When I just touch the negative post, there is a huge current coming to it.
The car has new plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor. All of the new parts are the same as the ones before. What could be the problem? Thanks for the responses!
